Every AI chat ends, and everything it knew ends with it.

The kit is the fix, and it's small on purpose. Two ordinary files hold your project's real state. A handful of copy-paste procedures load them into any new session and keep them current.

What you actually get.

The method

The full implementation guide, 13 sections, and a 30-minute quick start that gets a working system up before you read the guide.

The two files, as templates

A basic and an advanced project-state template, every field explained in plain English, and the handoff template with guidance written where you fill it in.

Six copy-paste prompts

Session Load, general and coding. Session Close, simple and advanced. Checkpoint. Provider Transfer.

Eight working checklists

Session start, checkpoint, close, provider switch, weekly audit, stale-state warning signs, handoff quality and project recovery.

Three worked examples

A software project, a research and writing project, and a business automation project.

Proof and recovery

The continuity stress test, with pass, partial-pass and fail criteria and a repair for each miss, plus a provider-outage worksheet.

Reference

A one-page quick reference, a plain-language glossary, and a troubleshooting page with the fast self-serve fixes.

Optional skills

Four portable skill versions of the core procedures, for tools that support them. The kit is complete without them.

37 files in all. You need two of them to start, and the rest are there when you want them.

Four procedures, any session.

  1. Load

Starts any new session by playing your project state back to you and asking one question before any work happens.

  2. Work in bounds

The files say what's in scope, what's off limits and what must never break.

  3. Checkpoint

For switching threads or models mid-work.

  4. Close

Ends the session by updating both files, so nothing is lost and nothing stale is carried forward.

  5. Transfer

Moves the whole project to a different AI platform in minutes.

From people using it.

"A session starts by reading my two files back to me and asking if that is still right. The next day, or a different AI, it starts where I left off instead of where it guesses I left off."

Mark

"I forget what I'm doing quite often, especially if it's been a few days. You don't need to worry about remembering. You can just ask Claude what we're doing, and he lays it out."

Mike

It's for you if

  • You're a solo builder, vibe coder, consultant, researcher, writer or automation builder.
  • Your AI-assisted work lasts longer than one chat.
  • You've ever dreaded re-explaining a project to a fresh session.

It's not for you if

  • You use AI for one-off questions.
  • You want memory that maintains itself with no upkeep.
  • You won't keep two small files current.
  • You need enterprise governance or multi-agent architecture.

Honestly

The smallest system that works.

It needs any capable AI assistant, the ability to save ordinary text files, and a few minutes at the start and end of each working session. No coding skill, no particular operating system, no specific subscription.

It doesn't give AI permanent memory, remove context limits or run by itself. It's a manual discipline that templates and prompts make cheap. A few minutes of closing ritual per session buys you the ability to resume from any blank session, on any model, at any time.

Questions before you buy.

Is this just a prompt pack?

No. The prompts are procedures inside a complete operating method: templates, checklists, worked examples, failure recovery, and a test that proves your setup works. The method is the product; the prompts run it.

I already have chat history and provider memory. Why this?

History is a transcript, not a verified record. It keeps abandoned ideas next to live decisions. Provider memory is invisible, can't be checked, and stays behind when you switch models. The kit gives you files you can read, check and carry anywhere.

Do I need to be technical?

No. The baseline is ordinary files and copy-paste prompts, with examples from writing and business work, not just code. The templates explain themselves line by line.

Will it work with my model?

The method is provider-independent: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Codex, local models, or anything comparably capable. It tells you what to watch when moving to a smaller model instead of pretending all models are equal.

Does anything run automatically?

No. You run a load prompt at session start and a close prompt at session end. Nothing writes or changes state without you.

How long until it pays for itself?

The setup is 30 minutes. Each session's ritual is about five minutes total. No invented percentages here: run the included stress test and judge with your own project.
